The United Nations declare the 29 June as the International Day of the Tropics. The day celebrates the extraordinary diversity of the tropics while highlighting unique challenges and opportunities nations of the Tropics face.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Australian Government in close collaboration with State of the Tropics alliance.
